"Adding odd syllables to names"? Where I'm from and most people here use them. It's a way of addressing people depending on your relationship with them

Yup, well I'm not really sure yet, since I don't remember all the rules, but I think it's mostly used for girls and sometimes pets because it sound cute.

He also likes to be pet a lot. I think I'm spoiling him too much~
