"Food is a primary source of fuel for the mind-body. When we eat meat or fish, we are taking in whatever that animal took in, which may include some form of pesticides, hormones or medicines, as well as their illnesses, diseases, suffering, anger and desires. w00t! I have turned the corner on being vegan and now it's fun instead of being a giant logistical puzzle that I'm never prepared for. It is awesome.

Then again it is the kind of veganism where I eat a slice of homemade Chicago-style deep-dish pizza on Inauguration Day.

YES I CAN.

It's kind of the sex partner circle... you're sleeping with everyone they ever slept with, and everyone THEY ever slept with... and so on.

Arlette, that's why I'm 90%. I'm still way reducing my intake and my footprint, but not feeling like I have to completely abandon things that I've loved for so long that I feel like I'm not eating if I can't have a taste once in a while. Like pizza.

BTW love to hear any tips on how you turned the corner! I'm having a hard time getting back on the 90% horse lately because convenience foods are so full of gack and cheese and casein and egg proteins and meat and ick.
