Long ago, after someone anonymously made a comment I didn't care for, I reset my journal so that only registered LJ users could comment so I'd at least know who was giving me guff. I forgot to ever change that back, but I've changed it now so you non-LJ friends can tell me your thoughts as well

OMFG, where should I start? Fixing the rich text editor was the very first recommendation I made to them, which was, oh, 3 years ago now. When it loked like we had traction to do it a year later, the then 25-yr old founder blew his top and screamed at me for "dumbing it down". Because, you know, anyone who doesn't want to dick around with HTML is lazy and dumb.
I would not expect any big, great changes to LJ anytime soon, even tho good people like Henry are still working on it. But perhaps the Russian company that just bought it will be more committed to improving it rather than just cannibalizing its infrastructure, like 6A did.
