I'm sorry this is late - somehow I missed this one.
I'm really glad you guys were able to talk like adults and get things straightened out. And yes, DAMMIT, he IS lucky to have you! You continue to love him despite his tantrums. ;)
And if there's one thing I've learned in the last 10 years, it's that online friends can be just as important and supportive as "IRL" friends. Sometimes even more so, if (like me) you don't have that many "IRL" friends (or you've moved halfway around the world AWAY from them all).
Thanks! Yes, sometimes it's a wonder we don't kill each other. It came full circle the next day when I had a small breakdown because I didn't feel at all desirable and needed reassurance and he felt kind of overwhelmed since we were starting to get playful and then suddenly I was crying... followed a highly emotional exchange but then we went to sleep and things were fine.
Three cheers for online pals. I'm really going to need the internet if I make it into the teach-abroad program I'm trying for.
