Even though the pumpkin acted totally different than my usual "yamkin" mixture, and I ended up having to overcook the pie and still have it come out less done in the center than I would have liked, it STILL ended up very tasty

It was good but not quite as good as the yamkin! I just really like that smoother texture. If I had a food processor I could get it with pumpkin too but for now I'm just using the hand tattie-masher.
