Oh girl you said everything I wanted to say and more! I agree 1 million % about this all and am still squealing happily knowing they're finally on the destined path, it makes my shipper heart have a heart attack of happiness.

I'm glad I stuck with my love for Peter and never gave up on him like some fans have. Not saying you have of course, but there's some fans who hate him now and it makes me sad :(

My shipper heart is bursting as well, hee!

And no worries, I do think there were times where -- if I didn't quite give up on Peter -- I definitely came close to but this episode cemented to me that, even though he messed up, he still loves her and deserves her. They deserve each other and deserve to have something beautiful together.

I wish other fans could see that. I just really loved the bar scene, where he was patient with her as she expressed her wanting to know what it felt like, patient as she ran off outside, patient as she expressed to him her fears about being incapable of being vulnerable and reassuring her that it's not true. That and Peter has always believed in her and her ability, and he supports and wants them not only together but wants what she wants in saving both the universes and not just one. *sigh* They're so great as friends, partners, and lovers and I'm glad that that last one finally came to fruition in this episode.

I don't even really know what to say that hasn't already been said. You did a brilliant job of analysing the episode and tying what we suspect with what we've gotten to know so far. Brilliant analysis!

I must say, as much as I had focused on how P/O is the focus of all episode 14s in this programme, I never thought about the whole "drinking aspect." Kudos to you! Even me, analytical person that I am, didn't pay attention to that! *gives you her official Fringe Analyst Badge because she is no longer worthy of wearing it*

Oh you're here. Excellent. I was just about to tell you that drinks thing.

*brain breaks*

Thanks! I think we can probably share the official Fringe Analyst Badge because goodness knows I wouldn't have caught on all the 14s parallels had you not brought it up in the first place.

I love that the "drinking" aspect is one of those parallels, because it's one thing that our couple shares that he can't share with Fauxlivia, hah!

I like your observations on Walter/nate. It gives real meaning to the "second guess" line. I was kind of hung up on how poor Astrid was being treated in that scene (and still don't approve!) but what you say here gives it more resonance.

The whole feelings thing: YES. Yes, yes yes. I can understand how people believe in destiny and having no choice, but everything happens because of people. And very few people are able to detach enough from their emotions to do something clinically, scientifically and without any attached sentiment. Even Brandonate is completely gleeful during some of the tasks Walternate sets him. If there's a "third way" in this destruction scenario, it'll be down to those who have the heart and dedication to finding it. If you don't care about the other universe, why bother? Just destroy it and save yourself. Everything over there is over here anyway ( ... )

And very few people are able to detach enough from their emotions to do something clinically, scientifically and without any attached sentiment.Exactly, exactly! And Fringe understands that which is why they mix reason and emotion, science and religion, objectivity and subjectivity so well ( ... )

I'm sitting in front of my computer practically applauding. I agree with everything.

It was so good to see them firstly working as a team again. I knew we would get some payoff from them both saying separately 'there must be another way'. Together they found it. I'm just so glad they're on the same page again. And maybe it's not perfect, and a little awkward and hesitant, but it's so them. There's a quietness and subtlety which is so beautiful. I'm also proud of Olivia (yet again) for taking that leap and bravely putting herself out there. Knowing Fringe it'll likely come back to bite her, especially with the baby news looming, but hopefully this time not too hard.

I feel that a lot of the reason why the Peter/Faux stuff is so slick and over the top is precisely because it was engineered by Faux to keep him happy. Also, because she's being at least partly false the entire time, it feels like they're playing a game. The whole 'I lied to you - I don't want to talk.' Pass me a bucket lol. Whereas with Peter/Olivia it's all very open and honest and raw and tense and intense, but done with a light touch ( ... )

Also, because she's being at least partly false the entire time, it feels like they're playing a game. Totally. I've been rewatching the Peter/Altliv scenes recently (because I can finally stand to rewatch them knowing that Peter and Olivia have taken a step in their relationship) and Altlivia is so like coy and flirty and NOT OUR OLIVIA. Hate the "I lied to you -- I don't want to talk" thing. GUH. Definitely pass the bucket. Our Olivia has so much more class, quietly but firmly leading him up to his room ( ... )
