I seriously love you right now. You made an epic post about Peter Bishop that was more than just, "hey, he's hot." (Which he is, but he is so much more than eye candy on this series and I think people occasionally forget that). He's my favourite character, and there's so much Walter and Olivia love that I feel Peter and Astrid and Broyles and Nina get grotesquely overlooked in their importance ( ... )

Hah, I'm glad you enjoyed my thoughts and the total prettiness. =)

And yeah, the implications of Peter's name have always been one of the most intriguing things about his character for me.

I didn't really consider religious implications until the finale just with Peter being this son with this "famous story," and how he might be the sacrifice or the savior who could "heal the problems of this world," and disrupt certain fundamental physical laws. But we'll see.

Can I just say any time Joshua Jackson shows up on my LJ or my tumblr I am a happy girl? So this post, though I have yet to catch up on Fringe, brings me to my happy place.

He's so cute and hilarious. I still can't get over his Pacey-Con 2010. :)

And you will love him as Peter Bishop, I promise.

OMG I <3 this post so much! I loved reading your thoughts and insights, many of which I agree with :) There should be no shortage on the Peter love, he really is a fantastic character. He's so multi-faceted, like a prism really. He's got so many angles and at any one time you can catch one or the other but it's when you look at the whole package that you see who he really is. He's come so far from when we first met him, a sort of selfish nomad to being the solid foundation of a group of not only co-workers but a family. Without Peter, this would have never happened and we all saw how things went when he was gone. I certainly do not think it was just a coincidence that his name is "Peter" like you mentioned above. Nothing like this is a coincidence on this show. And yes to more of the peacoat, I love the peacoat! Thank you for this post, I thoroughly enjoyed it :)

A prism is a good way to describe him! And yes, thanks to his caring nature, he helped make them not only a solid team but a family. That's why it's so interesting to see where they're gonna go from here now that Peter knows the truth, how they're going to get back to -- if they can -- that odd little family unit.

And gosh darn, Joshua Jackson knows how to rock a peacoat. I have never really found peacoats attractive on men until I saw him wear it in this show.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this post because half-way through it I was like 'Nobody is gonna read this!' so it makes me happy that people read my rambles and actually like them! =)

I think they'll eventually get back to their little family unit, it probably even be stronger than ever after what everyone's recently gone through. They're all so essential to this, if any one of them was gone, it wouldn't work. The band has to be back together!

Totally. He's one of the few that can wear a peacoat and wear it well.

I enjoy your posts and insights muchly, looking forward to the Olivia one if you do it :D
