You know that those of us who have been there while you were working hard on each new part of these stories will defend you if need be, right? *hugs* You shouldn't have to prove anything to anyone.
What 'bizthex' did is totally unforgiveable. I didn't think it was possible for a plagiarizer to do something even worse than steal a person's stories, but wow, did this person ever prove me wrong. >_> I hope they get what's coming to them some time soon.
I apologise for having accused you, yet I'm also sure you can understand how I came to the conclusion given that your work, name and e-mail were on the Livejournal and were the only connections outside this journal that the person had posted up.
When I originally found out, just under a year ago, I was incredibly angry, however I had gone through that Journal with a fine-tooth comb and apart from my one stolen story, Sugahlei's works were the only other ones there. They matched the fanfiction.net profile in story content, username and e-mail address, therefore it was the only conclusion I could come too.
I hope that this has been worked out; I also hope I never have the chance to meet the person who did this to us both as I doubt they'll survive the encounter intact.
no, don't get me wrong, i completely understand and don't blame you at all, especially if this person started with me and moved on to you and so forth.
...hmm. a year ago this time i was barely online, as my home doesn't have 'net, and the only times i could get it was thru the library. Hmm.
and of course, i'll be doing a search to find out where my fics are. I know i've got a few on fanlists here and there, so i'll have to get those together and put out mention that anyone ELSE better remove their stories...
*bows* i apologize if i seemed upset with you, it was more the situation than anything.
No worries. If you were to look in july last year of my LJ you'd find a post that sounds much the same as yours. Though maybe slightly more pissed off, i used alot of swear words.
