I think you're going to have to teach it to all the girls he courts, because they're the ones who largely propagate the text message culture.

You think it's a girl thing? I think it's a generational thing. I am always frustrated that men/boys in my life revert to text message to respond even when I've left them a voicemail.

Since I won't be able to influence the girls, I just want to teach him what I think is right, and encourage him to lead by example.
