I drove all the way from San Diego to Tampa, FL, and it's amazing what all you see in this country...things that we take for granted everyday. It was an amazing experience that I treasure deeply. Go explore! :)

By the way, if you ever end up in Seattle, I just may be there. ;) It's my absolutely favorite place, and one day, I want to live there.

It's my absolutely favorite place, and one day, I want to live there.

It's almost creepy how much you sound like me. At least, the 17-year old me, who so wanted to live there, I ended up attending a somewhat repressive Christian University in Queen Anne, and moved home tattered and sick within three months (long story). I definitely would like to live there again, though, under much improved circumstances (and with life experience, maturity, etc.) or at least start visiting regularly. My love for Seattle is big, scary and almost inexplicable.

You can add Tampa and Miami to my wish list. Never been anywhere in Florida. and I would love to take a cross-country roadtrip. (That falls somewhere under "RV." hehe.) Would love to hear about the highlights of your trip, favorite spots, etc., so I can make even more plans for my mysterious future.

Why no European or African destinations?
I spent a (much too) short month in South Africa, Swaziland and Lethoto last spring. It's a place I'll never forget, and that I hope to be able to move to one day.

Moving is good. It shakes you up and forces you to draw on your inner reserves. I highly recommend it. Go for it!

Didn't mean to neglect Europe especially...(PS - I did include London - as if that counts, to an American!!!) But I have visited a few other popular destinations in Europe and last night I remembered how badly I would like to return to Holland and Belgium, and now I'm thinking also of how much I liked Nice and Venice. Never been to Spain or Greece, and I hear Croatia is beautiful. All of those should be added.

London is a "cute" (and obscenely expensive) city, which probably resembles Buenos Aries as much as New York or Moscow. Big world cities are wonderful (don't get me wrong), but from the brief period I've been reading your journal, I think that you're looking for something more genuine ...

I absolutely am, and thanks, I consider that a compliment. Suggestions on destinations to add most welcome, and although I don't know much about it at all, Africa interests me as well. I am far too aware of my own ignorance when it comes to the world and all it has to offer.
