This was so completely and totally unexpected and brilliant! I'm all a-flail! Orlando's POV was just perfect and oh, I do love the other characters in this verse. It's been like, years, and you still make my heart ache for Elijah with all of half a sentence.

I do like this, Orlando is pathetic here, for a guy who's been heartless before. He could have had so much and just wasted his time yearning for what he can't have, maybe because he couldn't have it. I like the way he redeems himself at the end.

Yep, BTS Orlando is a very jaded, screwed up individual. I haven't really come up with reasons why, but he's made occasional forays into trying to be a better person than he is since leaving the ship. With varying degrees of failure, really. He just can't get a handle on feeling good about doing something nice for someone other than himself.
