The bittersweet return of the 'Lounge Singer', a box of memories, Matt's not so silent support and instant rapport with Billy, and then the long overdue confrontation between Dom and his Father, and ending in a loving embrace.
A beautiful chapter, I do hope that the boys get what they want/need from this trip back home.
Thank you as always

This could have been totally cliche but valiantly stays grounded. I love that even through his ignorance, Austin manages to not come off as a villian, even to Dom. Dom loves him and has always needed his approval, but he's finally coming to terms with the fact that he's not going to get it.
Also, ♥ for the way Dom lit up when his big brother came home. As someone with a big brother, that really hit the spot. And the rapport Matt has with the parents is very real to me too.
Can't wait to see what happens next!

I love that you don't see Austin as all bad. :)

I don't understand parents who continue to treat their own children so cruelly through indifference, when those children are killing themselves in the misguided hope of making their parent(s) love them. I hope Dom knows that he is not the problem - Austin wasn't all that warm and loving towards Matt either.
Dom and Billy are so good for each other. I hope Dom continues to grow stronger now that he is free from trying to please his father to gain his love and acceptance.
Always glad to see TGS updates.
