New Phone Dance!

Feb 16, 2010 12:50

So, yesterday was our "New Every Two" day! It hasn't been exactly two years, because we got our phones in June 08, but whatever. I'm not going to argue with their calendar, because my phone was really starting to get on my nerves. LOL ( Read more... )

Pat has the Touch, and I have the regular enV3 in maroon. Love it! :)

I LOVE my Droid. It's so ridiculously customizable. Felipe is on T-Mobile and has the G1 but since they're both Android phones we're both able to use the same programs, some of which allow us to share information, like My Groceries. I update it on my phone and it shows up on his. Which is great, because he likes to go shopping on the way home from work and I don't like to go at all. Also, we both now use Google calendar which allows to share our calendars with each other. And since it's the default calendar on our phones, I have both our calendars at my fingertips, which makes it very easy to see when I can schedule my appointments right now during this 'no driving' period ( ... )

Look at how late I am! Ditto to what Rena said though. Loooooove my Droid. I still don't text as quickly, because I had the key pad down to being able to text without looking and very quickly (WITHOUT text speak - I HATE it, and the only time I do it is for Twitter to fit something in 140 chars, and even then, I try to use conventional shorthand and abbreviations like w/o and b/c), but I like having a full keyboard.

Umm. Yeah. Totally got off track. Also for Advanced Task Killer - if John hasn't figured this out yet - he should uncheck the apps he doesn't want to be killed. The one that was least obvious to me was the alarm clock. The first two days I had mine, I did a task kill right before bed, and killed my alarm. Whoops!

Nice! It makes me laugh sometimes what kind of phone I had 5 years ago to what I have today. From two-tone 'screen' to smart-phone. Ha! :)

Mike and I both have the Droid now. I still don't know what I'm doing with it all the time, but it's been fun finding out!

Yay for new phones! :D I also experience FFS sometimes. My phone only has a touch screen, but when you turn it 90 degrees the screen changes to a full size keyboard. Most of the time things go well, but I can never seem to hit the "o" key correctly...I usually get "p" instead which doesn't work, lol!

$20 to transfer everything? Really? Granted this was a year ago Christmas, but Verizon transferred everything then for free for me. I hope it hasn't changed. I don't have enough to justify paying $20 to transfer but it still will not be fun manually transferring everything.

Yep, it's changed. The guy said it used to be free, but it isn't anymore. :/ I didn't have a lot, either, but I am glad I had that SD card. :)

I had to use Myxer to recreate a few of my ringtones, and luckily had the others on my hard drive to e-mail to myself. :D
