Oh come on, this is Moffat we are talking about. He is going to be crashing his TARDIS, realize it is happening, decide time can be rewritten. So he will travel back in time to try and prevent it. Instead he will accidentally kill his earlier self, causing a fatal paradox which will result in his dying twice simultaneously. Both those deaths will result in regeneration giving us temporally two separate Doctors. One of these Doctors will be played by John Hurt. This Doctor will travel back in time to try and prevent the time war, however he will accidentally travel too far, becoming fatally injured as he travels through the time lock. He will then lose his memory as he regenerates into the original First Doctor, thus solving the mystery of his birth and family. The other regeneration will no longer have any idea what regeneration he should be described as and will take the name of the Valeyard simply out of desperation, thus ending the series in true Moffat style.
