Very nice! I enjoyed all his expressions, and the hair of course. Your description of tomorrow's has me... intrigued.

It's something I didn't get around to when I did the first Power of Ten series, though some people said they were hoping for it, so this will hopefully make up for it.

I'm so sad that the picspam will end tomorrow.

But I imagine once you've got to know Eleven, we'll get some new stuff !

Maybe. Right now it's hard to imagine myself doing Eleven fic and picspams, even though I want to like him, and I am actually rather looking forward to his episodes. I guess we'll see.

We both will. I don't know how I'm going to feel about watching someone so very much younger than me and believing him to be The Doctor.

Last one? NOOOOO!!!!!!!!

DT is very tactile. I think he is in real life as well. It was a B5 actor that said once, you had to make hand movements up near your face, otherwise the acting wouldn't be seen. I wonder if it is partly deliberate?

Possibly. I don't know. I've noticed he does do it quite a bit in interviews/video diaries, etc., and in some other roles (Blackpool, for example), but in other roles he doesn't.

I don't think I agree with that actor you mentioned. To me, the goal of acting is to *not* let it be seen that you're acting. A lot of great acting takes place without a lot of hand movements near the face. If the character isn't someone who does that, then the actor shouldn't do that.

I think DT touches his face/neck/hair a lot as Ten because that's a habit he sees Ten as having, not to say, "look at me, I'm acting."

Just MHO, of course, and I may have missed the point entirely.

I shouldn't post after drinking my Sunday sherry :)

My comment wasn't very clear, and I'm not quite sure what I was trying to say. The B5 actor was probably talking about the particular character.

Looking at his pictures, he's gone from baby-faced to much more muscular. Look at his hands in the first and last pictures. His face too, gets more muscular and defined at the end. I thought at first he was gaining weight, but he's getting more buffed.

I agree, he's definitely getting more handsome as he gets older... UNF!

I'm not sure it's getting buffed so much as four years in a highly demanding and tiring role, as well as a subtle, natural age progression during that time. But you may be right.
