Oh, what a gorgeous companion piece to A Funny Old Life. I love how he very obviously recognises how much he needs her friendship and how he pretty much knows she's gone and jinxed it all by mentioning forever.

I guess all his companion relationships last too short a time even if they don't say "forever". Poor Doctor...

Gorgeous, and a perfect companion piece to "A Funny Old Life"

Thanks! Though I think I jumped the gun posting A Funny Old Life first, by itself. I'd really have preferred to have this one be part of that, but oh well...

Please tell me you're a writer in RL. It's almost impossible to put into words how much I enjoyed reading this.

Well, I'm a writer in that I write the occasional fanfic. But if you mean professionally, no, afraid not.

Thanks, though, that's one of the nicest comments I've ever had!

I know that you're going from a character you have come to know quite well, but when I read your stuff, it just really strikes a chord. Is there much of a back catalogue that I might not have read ?

Pretty much all my Who stuff is in my tags, or my author page (same name) on Teaspoon: http://www.whofic.com/viewuser.php?uid=7648

Or do you want other fandoms as well? The only ones I've really written in besides Who have been LOTR and ST: DS9. Don't know if you know those at all.

*sniffles*

I just read both of them (and admittedly was too eager to read this one to comment on the other, so my apologies) and loved them to bits. I shall now go to mem them. :)

Thanks! And no worries on not commenting on the other piece. I'm not one of those authors who pouts if I don't get enough comments, and I don't comment on everything *I* read either (though I should at least do it more often).

Oh, poor pair. But it's brilliant. Just what the Doctor needs.

Yep, they truly were a one-of-a-kind combo. Wish they could have kept Catherine Tate for more than one season...
