I generally try to be an optomistic person (sometimes doesn't work) and give people the benefit of the doubt. But this has train wreck written all over it. Don't you think it would be a good idea to actually be married, or perhaps be in a committed relationship longer than a few months before you adopt someone's children? OK, if that was any more of a train-wreck waiting to happen, they'd have disillusioned railtrack inspectors all over them declaring it perfectly safe...

Very doomed. I feel sorry for the kids. They're going to be the victims when (not if) everything falls apart.

How can you adopt someone else's children but still refuse to confirm that you're in a relationship with that person? I feel sorry for those poor kids.

You know I just knew that article was gonna be about Pitt & Jolie before I even clicked the link in your entry.

I really hope it does all work out for them but, like you say, it is hard to remain optimistic about it when instant gratification without thought for the consequences appears to be the order of the day.
