FIC: The World Is Waiting For You, from hp_summergen

hp_summergen reveals are now up! I'll do a big recs post at some point. Also, I probably will tweak the first story I wrote, I Know Where The Summer Goes, a bit more before I post it, but here is my pinch-hit, which I was quite pleased with, in the end - it was a lot of fun to write a couple of characters I don't usually tackle.

Oh, well, thanks for making me sob. And I am not sure why I am sobbing! Because this is a happy fic, full of hope -- it made me kick my feet a little when Hermione's sandcastle magic worked, and when Lavender and Neville were at that sort of pre-school (well, pre-Hogwarts-school, anyway) together, but somehow all of the tragedy wrapped up in Neville's storyline gets me every time. Lovely little snippets from the lives of characters we love, Amy. ♥

This is just wonderful. I adored the idea of Hermione and Luna meeting and of Neville and Lavendar being tutored together. The scenes were delightfully written. The last one with Neville was adorable and Gran was perfect.

Oh, that was lovely, and I really liked the idea of Luna's sandcastles. For some reason I got the impression that Lavender was Muggleborn but I don't know why that would be. There's something so magical about summer, isn't there? And you captured it wonderfully :)

Thank you very much! I'm glad this came across as summery. And yes, I initially thought Lavender was Muggleborn too, but after clicking around on the Lexicon, apparently early notes of JKR's have her as a pureblood, but that never made its way into canon.
