Oh! I'm having a terrible morning and this was just what I needed! I love this moment you capture, right from the beginning on the train, of the angst and uncertainty of the teenager caught between the end of school and the beginning of 'life.' I love how they all go home and have no idea what will happen next. And I love the parallels between Lily's home life and Harry's, all because of Petunia. Brilliant! And oh, James and Sirius are such adorable knobs. :)

But, as a random reader, I really really loved this. It was wonderful. And it really struck me being that I just graduated. When I read the summary I was afraid I was going to cry, but it was just really great.

This is absolutely lovely. There's always a sadness hanging over stories from this era, because of knowledge of future events, and Petunia's warnings only make that more intense. And still, I'm able to forget it as I'm wrapped up in Lily's happiness. What a lovely, lovely fic.
