Thought I'd get myself a default userpic that reflected ME!  So I took my camera to work & that's my microscope with a nice little note on it. I love my new default pic. (i'd put one of those hearts here but I've still not got it right) Thanks for the tips

1. Can you purchase from overstock.com? They are good an inexpensive with older items (S3 & S4).

2. Here's the method for a simple heart. The characters I'm about to write should all be typed together without any spaces...then you'll get a heart:

&
hearts
;

Put it all together and you get ♥

LOL--It's hard to teach through comments, only.

It took about 10 comments combined for me to master how to highlight an LJ user name correctly.

It was a bit of a star studded line up. It's part of what made it so good I think.

I watched "Love Actually" with my son on Mother's Day and it was really nice even though I am the biggest wuss around and kept crying at all the schoompy bits. He really liked it too, which was nice.
Also the hearts have eluded me for some time, now I can do the small black ones but only got the larger red ones to work once despite copying and pasting exactly from the "lesson". God times lol
I have Asian DVDs they are just NOT worth it, don't bother they never work properly and always stick on all the good bits, oh hang on maybe that is because they have been slo-mo-ed in that section SO many times lol!!! ♥

Those Asian DVD's saw me through til now. When it was all I could afford, I was happy enough. But thanks to hubby's new part time job, I can get the real deal :) Mine stick, and a few episodes are missing the last 5 or so minutes (daphs virginity, Brians dad's death & mikey's B'day, Brian doesn't buy roses!).
Foolishly I believed the seller on Ebay when they assured me these were genuine copies. :(
Also .. I admit to crying in the movie too. Schmoop gets me nearly every time.

I LOVE your icon. The best ones are the ones that truly reflect the user.

;-)

and thanks from the flist for the tips on the heart. I've always wondered how to do that. Now I know. &hearts:

Love Actually....I have that on DVD. I really loved it. Such a feel good movie.

I hope you get some good copies of QAF. Amazon is good for that as well as a website called Overstock.com. They are good for older stuff.

I had cash issues when I bought my crappy set. I know what to avoid now, and will only buy from trusted sources. It's amazing that most places are preselling Season 5 for the same price or cheaper that seasons 3 & 4.
