and want to go home.  This day just can't end fast enough.  Having all those short holiday weeks has not prepared me well for a full 5 day week.  A 3 or 4 day week definitely seems like a better work week length. Aren't they always saying that Americans work too much?

A bunch of vets work 4-day 12-hour weeks. Slackers. (Theoretically, working more than a 40-hour week and having more days off than a standard 40-hour week.)

I don't know who "they" are what say Americans work too much, but I hear tell in Spain, they take a two-hour lunch break, and all of Europe takes a three-month holiday in the summer (so one of the major veterinary laboratories based in France accepts no samples for at least a month).

One of TMBG's podcasts mentions that 11 to 7 would make a better workday than 9 to 5.
