no rhymefest love? i really enjoyed bluecollar. how could you not love lines like "my style is running to the bathroom, you aint seen shit yet"

Clipse only an honorable mention? i thought you would go bananas for songs like Dirty Money and Nightmares

no Belle&Sebastian love either?

The Bronx - "History's Stranglers" i love that song.

dude, it was so difficult to narrow everything down to only 50 this year. i had so much trouble with this list.

i dug the rhymefest record, but it wasn't really anything super fantastic from where i was standing. i could pretty much give or take most of the songs on the album.

the clipse album i just got and it's been growing on me with every spin. in time, it could probably wind up higher, but for right now, it bees where it bees.

i wasn't particularly impressed by the life pursuit. i found it fairly boring, even by belle & sebastian's standards.

"history's stranglers" pwns.

i must say, i have been making these lists for 3 years and nothing has come close to what you have here. my preferences often lean more toward a heavier sound, whereas i can see that you are more into the punk scene... but besides the fact that you have a distaste for the raconteurs and that isis just missed the top 10, i cant say i have too many dissagreements with the listing. good work.

i've been doing year-end lists for a while as well, and it gets harder every year, because it gets me to look for more music as each year passes.

if you dig heavier isis-esque stuff, you should totally check out the last few envy albums. their newest record landed on the 21 spot of this year's countdown and their albums before this are also incredible. they're a japanese band that started out as a hardcore act and evolved slowly into a prog-ish metal act. they're basically the japanese isis. awesome awesome stuff. i'd recommend finding the album, "a dead sinking story" if you can.
