Rosie on the view ask questions some are very uncomfortable with.

1.  How is it possible for Building no 7 to collapse/implosion hours later stating it is the first time in history fire melted steel?  She asked the question and told people to google it.

2.  On a previous show, she indicated her opinion was that the English soldiers went into Iran on ( Read more... )

Rosie makes interesting points and she truly has a head on her shoulders, HOWEVER, The View (while about personal views) is NOT the venue, in my opinion for her to get so hot and heavy. Rather than enlightening the desperate housewives out there, she's turning them off...perhaps she needs a Bill Maher type cable show...or something on MSNBC where she can be intelligent, where she doesn't have to shut up that idiot Elizabeth and where she can talk about having lesbian sex without a punchline from Joy.

I agree with you that Rosie needs a Bill Maher type cable show simply because any time spent listening to Elizabeth talk is time wasted. (Solution: send Elizabeth on one of those "Where in the world is Elizabeth?" segments and then fire her so that by the time she gets home she's forgotten what she was doing before her trip.) But what's wrong with her using The View to share her opinion on everything from Trump to conspiracies to world policy, etc? Aren't you selling the housewives short by saying they won't appreciate all discussions? I have to believe that the majority of women (and men) out there who watch this show care more about the "serious stuff" than they do about Joy's punchlines.

Well, I disagree. I don't think the majority of women (can't speak for the men) out there who watch the View want to hear her political opinions. Benchly, you tend to surround yourself with well articulated and intelligent people (I will use myself as a prime example of this) Perhaps the people you hang out with/interact with appreciate Rosie for her passionate political views...but what I have heard, from the other side...the women who watch The View to see the Rosie they miss from her talk show...well they aren't entertained. Even seemingly smart folk have said things like, "She used to be funny, she should just be funny again." "Trump has a point, she should shut up and give things away to the audience, that's why people like her." If she can effect even one or two of those housewives to whom I do not give enough credit, well then her time has not been wasted...but I think the majority of people watching The View are looking for punchlines and celebrity gossip...even Meredith was never this serious and she's a journalist for

I think there's an audience that loves to hear women who are not on a political talk show express an opinion about politics, war, government, etc., in addition to the fun light hearted make fun of Holliwood stuff and the view does that. I do think there's been more than one housewife out there that have been positively effected by the debates, learning other angles ( ... )
