I really didn't expect to get hooked on Steven Moffat's Doctor Who....Never been a devoted fan of the show:  I watched Tom Baker in my teens and loved (most of) it.  I tried to watch Peter Davison and was bored to death; one look at Colin Baker's clown outfit and there was no way I was going there, and Sylvester McCoy looked, literally, cut from ( Read more... )

Moffat's got the delicate touch that realizes drama arises from human interaction--not overblown special effects and random deaths. It's nice to sit down to watch DW and be shown a story in which characters develop and plots unfold....rather than be subjected to a great deal of shouting, including hypocritical preaching and being lectured..............
