It must’ve taken Alex quite some time to psyche up herself for that inevitable encounter. Even with Elliot and the rest of the men initiating the first move and making Alex feel as welcome as possible, it couldn’t overshadow the train wreck of a meeting between Olivia and Alex. That sure was an awkward and cringe worthy reunion ( ... )

Thank you! I really wanted the first encounter between Alex and Olivia to be more about what wasn't being said. I was trying to make it the culmination of the earlier chapter's hints about how they're both handling their emotions, or not, as the case may be. So if I managed to convey that even in the slightest, I'm relieved. :p The banter beforehand was just really fun to write, but it was also intended to mark the contrast of Alex's arrival, so thank you for noticing! I'm really pleased that you're still enjoying the story, and I'm so grateful for the time that you're taking to give me such detailed feedback. It's these kinds comments which help keep me on track of where I'm attempting to take this story. So hopefully I'll get my act together and another chapter won't be too far away. :/

Nice surprise to see an update so soon after the last one. This is a wonderful story, well written, well paced, great story line. In all honesty, it had been such a long time since you last posted, that I had to go back and re-read the first 4 chapters, as I had no recollection of the story. So, once again it's nice to see it being updated so quickly.

I'm well aware that I'm not the most prolific updater, but I'm really starting to enjoy writing this one, so I'm hoping that the updates will become a little more regular - and knowing that people are still interested is a definite incentive.
