Great opening, i cant wait to see what develops.

"gone from naïve defender of justice to burnt out cynic"- beautiful and true description btw.

Where did the opening quote of your story come from?

Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment - it's always appreciated.

The opening quote is actually lyrics from a Simon & Garfunkel song "Bookends Theme". I thought I'd put that in with the quote but after losing my battle with LJ's 'rich text' function when attempting to post last night, I must've screwed up and deleted it from my good old-fashioned HTML code - technology! So thanks for making me notice I'd missed it. :)

Love the wuote at the beginning and of course this line: "gone from naïve defender of justice to burnt out cynic before the detectives at One Police Plaza bothered to learn their names." Very very true.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

Thank you for reading and taking the time to let me know. It's always useful to hear the lines that people think ring true as I'm often unsure as to whether I'm conveying what I'm attempting to! So, um, thanks. :)
