URGH. I cannot even tell you: yesterday, livejournal ate my freaking slaved-over year-end month-by-month recap, and I howled with rage. Yes, I still have a first draft written sometime in November, but this was like, draft four. I WAS PISSED. I poked my computer so hard I practically put a hole in it.

Pardon me for barging in here, but as a Yuletide Newbie I made the silly mistake of deleting my commentor's emails, and I stalked you here so that I could thank you for your generous comment on my story, "The Ecstasy of Bursting Forth." (Joan Holloway-Mad Men)

I really appreciate that you helped make my "maiden" voyage at Yuletide such a welcome one with your kind words.

I know it will probably not happen for Joan as I wrote it, but I seem to be almost congenitally unable to write less than hopeful endings.

I found this on Yuletide while peeking through random fic and was doubly overjoyed that 1) Someone wrote fantastic fic about the Monarchs (because they're pretty much a family) and that 2) Someone wrote touching, in-character, makes-me-cry fic about the Monarchs. Can I be any happier than at this moment?

Not likely, but I suppose anything is possible.

That said, um, would you mind if I recorded this as audiofic for amplificathon? Due credit would be given and I'd be amazingly happy to have added Venture Bros fic into that heap of fandoms.

That is totally flattering, and I am so happy you read and enjoyed this! This fandom is so painfully small, and no one will write me my Pete White/Billy Quizboy domestic trailer schmoop, but the Monarchs are certainly my other favourite dysfunctional unrelated-by-blood family of misfits.
