Oh I saw it! I think my jaw dropped on the floor, I was so so creeped out. Honestly, there are a million other possibilities that they could have used instead of that (bad smell, bubbles wrecking the bathroom, people getting sick, etc.) There is nothing funny about sexual harassment, especially in your own home, since statistics prove that a woman has way way more chance to get raped in her home or the home of someone she knows. Absolutely disgusting.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this is just plain wrong and quite insensitive to rape/sexual harassment victims/surviors.
Same! It was really distasteful. The implication of a group of men coercing a woman to put on a sexual performance for them - I cannot believe the company didn't see that. I get that they probably were going for the "viewers will feel really dirty after watching it, and thus associate that dirtiness with chemical cleaners," but - major fail in the way they handled that ad.
Thanks for posting this on your blog! The more people that know about this, the better. I still can't believe they put this out there, and after that completely inadequate response, I don't think I could ever bring myself to buy another Method product, even if I wanted to.
