I love how NWS bulletins alternate between standard phraseology and an obviously excited meteorologist.

I thought I could hang with the heat so I put off doing anything sensible like buying a fan. But I was traumatized by the weather over the weekend and last night went searching for something that would push the hot air around my apartment. Moving hot air > Hot stagnant air.

After four stores, the only one I could find was a $250 industrial fan at Home Depot, which I was genuinely tempted by.

Night before last I fell asleep with a bag of frozen corn on my head...and it was only a meager 95 degrees here. Triple digits in Newport scares me.
