This is the story about how refilling one generic prescription that I have been on for more than a year has taken the whole week so far and is not done yet. I present to you the combined effects of: tightly coupled systems; similar numbers; incompetent yet confident clerks; persistent computer errors that are not corrected; supply chain mishaps;

At one of my many jobs, prescription refills is a part of my job description. It's a delicate dance sometimes between the doctor's office, the pharmacy, the patient and the insurance company...and that's not counting the drug supplier. I've been through all you've described and other horrors. It can be a crap shoot...hope for a winning roll!
