Gang of Four tonight. A loser is me and I didn't read the tickets that said "Doors open 7 pm" (on a Friday night? WTF!?). Therefore I lazed about avoiding opening bands and didn't pick L. up until nearly 10. We got there at 10:20 and the ticket woman told me they'd started at 9:45 to play an hour set. Very sad me. I think you'd have to start doing way too much drugs and drinking right NOW and not stop. Are you up to the challenge?

SR was one of my favorite favorite favorite 80s bands. That 2002 reunion show was amazing, too. I'm still a fanboy and read their mailing list, etc.

Some version of them is touring with Blixa Bargeld for HOW TO DESTROY THE UNIVERSE #5: http://www.mobilization.com/#destroy5 and I recommend it.

My intention was to not leave here until somewhere between 9 and 9:30, but I started getting antsy. I think we left right at 9, which was perfect: I ran into Scott (Canbe drummer) entering just as I arrived, so I managed to hook up with him and Canbe and others. Plus, it wound up being about 10 minutes before Go4 went on, so I timed it perfectly.
