I saw Leo Kottke perform this song in 1986 or so? Dunno. It was at McCabe's. He introduced the song by saying that he'd stayed up really late one night and smoked a whole lot of cigars while playing guitar in an effort to become Joe Pass. He did not become Joe Pass. Much to my horror, the meds have revealed my true nature: It seems I am a morning person. WHAT? Why yes, it's 6:30am, I'm wide awake, and hell, I'm even chipper! NO NO NO NO NO NO

Plus it means I conk out at about 11:30. Rad. Now I'm crazy AND boring. Wait, is that possible?
