It takes me a second to process the name change. The weirder part, though, is that I don't yet, possibly because of the processing involved, get the "OOH! SHINY NIFTY PERSON!" reaction to your journal that I used to. Like, I used to perk up when I saw your name come up but I don't yet have that reaction to the new name, which saddens me a little.

*Smile* I'm just as shiny nifty as I was when I was using the old name. And it's nice of you to say that, anyhow. But yeah, I know how it can take a while to adjust when someone familiar appears under an unfamiliar name. I'm sure you'll be recognising me as me in my new lj incarnation soon enough!

Name changes are never confusing for the professionally paranoid!

However, just to try and confuse things even more, 'Artyem' can be more simply written as 'Artem' if one is just transliterating the cyrillic letters.
The actual Russian pronunciation of the name is usually 'Artyom', (Hence the diminutive 'Tyoma') but I'd say he didn't know that at the time.

Toast always lands buttered side down. So does crispbread with lobster & salmon paste. Well, not buttered side down... Paste side. Just gotta work out if the potential allergic reaction I'm encountering this second is as a result of the fishy paste or whatever was on the floor at the time... Aie.

No, the 'my mouth and throat are all itchy' sort of allergic rection.
The sort of feeling that makes one wish for an oral debriding tool or somesuch...
