...Well, this rules out staying at my place for a while. I wouldn't terribly mind if it wasn't... well... I'm a little tall, and since Praise is separate...

I don't want to disturb the canary nesting on it, either.

...Would anyone's house happen to still be habitable?

...is there a problem with him staying with me again?

Yes. I want him to stay with me.

Why?

Because he's my friend.

I know that.

Why does that mean there's a problem if he stays anywhere else? I mean, I thought we were at least good acquaintances if not friends ourselves.

Well, yes, I would consider you a friend as well, so it's nothing personal.

My reason is twofold. The first is that, since I'm the closest to him, he has an obligation to favor me over his other friends. The second is that it would be easier to keep him there if he's already had a period of time to settle in.

Obligation to--

...I'm not even continuing this conversation. But it's his decision where he stays, and I'm not arguing over it.

I agree, there's no point in arguing over an obvious decision of his.

Since your house has not been affected, I'm assuming you will be taking in other people again?

He'll choose what he really wants, regardless of what anyone else thinks he should do.

I don't know. There's no guarantee that my house will stay this way, and I'm in no shape to play host.

I thought we had agreed to no longer discuss this.

What do you mean, "not in any shape"? Are you injured?

Those are my last thoughts on the matter.

Yes. During the whole mess with the twins I took a beating from mine.

You already know mine, so it'd be redundant to state them.

It's a little abnormal if you haven't recovered by now; perhaps you should speak to someone in the Medical Tent. This could be indicative of a larger problem.

Less 'abnormal' and more 'gutwound'. I'm doing fine, I'm not bedbound or anything of that nature anymore, but I'm not at full strength yet either.

I would hope you haven't been working at your post with an injury like that. Have you been resting and keeping the wound clean? What is the full extent?

I've been working but taking it easy, mostly administrative bullshit. Someone has to keep these people in line. I've been taking care of myself; it missed the vitals but that doesn't mean it feels good.

I'll survive, just need some time to get through it.

It's good they're competent enough there to delegate you to something less stressful on your wound, but managing people can also put strain on your mental state, which in turn affects your rate of healing. Surely there must be another employee that can cover you?
