Not because of anything that happened particularly, but I got my period this week which always makes me feel tired and ill beforehand (and during, really). Ahhh, the invention of four-periods-a-year birth control was great.

Work stuff...mostly complaining, as per my wont. )

What really gets me about business attire for women is the lack of pockets. Who doesn't need pockets?
As a consultant, the amounts we ask for on an assignments don't only pay for ourselves, they also include a portion for what we call "structural costs" (the Company's HQ, the general staff - admin, HR, credit management...) and, of course, some profit.
Also, with what we call fixed-price assignments (where we tell the client "we can give you [deliverable] for [amount]"), there's always a bit of risk as to our estimation of necessary days spent to work towards the result. The theory goes: sometimes we have overestimated, and get more money for the same work, sometimes we underestimated, and we lose out.
So all in all, I figure the going-ons around which grant pay for what are of the same variety.
