ok, as usual, i am way late and behind on this. but i signed up for Netflix now that they have Instant Watch for Mac (took them long enough), and on Saturday, just for the heck of it, i watched the first ep of Heroes. oh holy crap. i'm thru ep 17 (Company Man) and it's amazing. this is like X-Files meets Buffy meets Spider-man 1. so very cool

You know, I stopped watching it at some point in either season 2 or 3. But season 1 kicked ass, and I've heard that the newer eps are kicking ass too. It's a great premise, but I have to say that a few of the good-guy characters just really piss me off with their poor decisions.
I do love cheerleader and her daddy.

after watching the S1 finale, i watched the ending again. and then tonight, as i walked home from the bus stop, i realized what it reminded me of & why i found it so poignant: Iron Giant, where he flies deep into space to save the world: "Superman."

(ok, now that makes Heroes sound like IG plagiarism.)
