Second, help? D: I'm new to the TWEWY scene, well actually, I put the game away for a LONG time before picking up again, and I've found I COMPLETELY lost my touch. I'm on Joshua Day 5, the part where you have to get past all these Reapers, and the part where

leveling up isn't really that important in the game. The levels only seem to give HP and a little bit of brave once in a while. No defense or Attack stats, so leveling up really won't help you beat a boss any easier.

And the Reaper that picks off all your pins and gives you two of his own pins, what you have to do is blow in the microphone, and use Joshua. (They's why he hints to get ready and scream)

Just eat a lot of Ramen, I think at that point in the game, the ramen gives some pretty good stats.

I think controlling the characters is a lot faster than auto, but that's just me. I don't even look in the top screen sometimes, I just press leftleftleft rightrightright and occasionally look up if I'm close to a fusion star.

If I remember correctly, that should be the fight where you have to use the mic to activate the pins.

I think I was around LV. 14, but I also buffed up stats with food and clothing. It's been a while since I've played a fresh game, but if you access to the Lapin Angelique Suicide Special combo, use that.

Ah, I liked having a lot of HP so I could adjust drop rates and get more yen. By that day, I was already at around level 30 or something. 70 at the end of the story.

I think it's easier to go on Automode: Fast and let them do the job. When you get Joshua's Levitation skill, just press UP and then let him do the rest of it. Concentrate on killing the things as fast as possible with Neku and healing.

Yeah, when I first got to that part, I thought the pins were useless too and just focused on using Joshua to get fusions while having Neku dodge and dash like a maniac. But as someone above already stated, you can use the microphone to activate the pins. I'm also a fan of button-mashing rightrightright or leftleftleft because that is faster than automode. Also, keep in mind that right now, Joshua can't do damage until he finishes a combo and drops things on the enemy, which is why it's important to finish Joshua's combos before he gets interrupted by an enemy attack. You can also make him recover faster by pressing up while he's falling in midair, and you can make him dodge by pressing down.

Those pins aren't useless, heck the spinning slash one is one of my regulars. Just blow into the mike while you're button mashing Joshua's combos.
