I love Riku in CoM because from the beginning of the game he just sits there going BULLSHIT at the Organization and Ansem. BULL. FUCKING. SHIT, he says, I can be in the light or the dark.

Also unlike Sora he totally sees through Namine in like, two seconds. I still want a lot of RikuNami fic because they SUNK my fucking SHIP.

Sadly as he goes further in they do start to get to him, POSSIBLY BY SHEER REPETITION. But the beginning was great <3. Also, Riku and Mickey are so cute together! Every bit as cute as SoraDonald&Goofy.

Ehhhhhh, I dunno. Their bond of smiling in a fondly exasperated way at Sora -- who is clueless -- and then sharing knowing looks didn't seem to lend itself to romance. I'd read it, though.

If no one remembers Castle Oblivion it's like it never happened, but if Riku remembers that's fine.

I was indifferent to her up until I saw that, and then I just got a soft spot for the poor girl.

Also, considering Namine was born from Sora partially, it's like your own... not parent, but maybe the first person you ever had a connection with going, "No, I'd rather choose someone else to remember, even though you're reaching out to me and wanting to be known." :(
