I'm trying to figure out how many poses from this year's Rising Stars of Manga finalist Samurai Zombie were ripped off from Blade of the Immortal. In the first three volumes of BoTI I found this one, this one, and this one

Ouch about the rsom entry.....I knew there was a reason I couldn't read the whole thing.....reference is one thing, but eeeep.....>_<
Especially stupid seeing as the entrant is obviosuly a talented artist in the first place...so why bloody copy panels directly and scupper your chances and the respect you may have won????

Ah! I found the forum thread. Yup, definitely not patachu. XD I can see where the mistake came in.

Oh, hey, this is pretty handy. So much easier to see what's going on with the images laid out side-by-side like that.

I don't know...I was able to make it through Waley without much of a problem but kept getting stuck on Seidensticker due specifically to the lack of footnoting (and forgetting who was who). I'm thinking I'll try the Taylor as I was really impressed by the footnoting (this of course comes from someone who read Sei Shonagon in the two volume set with the second being footnotes and what not XD;) Incidentally...that whole reading_genji comm seems cool XD (*adds to FL*)

It's hard to forget who's who when you're writing notes for every chapter, is what I've been finding out. XD otherwise I would probably be having trouble too.

You mean Ivan Morris' two-volume set? I read that! Greaaaaat fotenotes. Generally I'm a footnotes kind of girl, so it's sort of strange to not be missing them here.

reading_genji is a fun comm. You should read some of the early chapter summaries, they're hillarious.
