I played a Sam and Max game that came out in the 1990s once. It was fun.

That's what started my love affair with S&M ;)
think you can still play it via SCUMMVM http://www.scummvm.org/ , a new interpretor designed to run Scumm(TM) based games like SMHTR, Indiana Jones, and some other Lucas Arts favorites.
last time i checked, the even managed to port SCUMMVM to pda and phones;)
