Music community

How is it that buffalo, the second largest city in ny, has a music community less active than smaller cities? How can a place Rick James once called the best blues city in america have such a stagnant musical scene?

It's because people like to bitch about things or talk about the good ol days of clubs and bars that have closed down rather than walking out their front door rubbing their eyes and exploring and supporting the music or club nights that already exist. I applaud the people who do the latter. The only music communtiy are the ones who are out by the music and not in front of their computer. You'll have better success with that community. :)
