I've made some decent progress this week, surprisingly enough. I have an interview for an internship at Disc Village on friday morning, which I'm pretty excited about. Disc Village is a substance abuse/mental health facility. I won't hear back til about a week after because they have to do a background check first. I guess they want to know if

a background check wont reveal anything unless law enforcement is involved. so if you never got arrested and you went into rehab voluntarily, you should be fine.

additionally, juvenile confidentiality should apply to everything, non-felony, that happens before you turn 18. but i know that sometimes that stuff shows up on background checks even though its not supposed to.
