I dream of bringing our future children to Madagascar. Who knows, maybe they'll go against the grain and actually think their parents are cool if the family trip will make them feel like they are on some hallucinogenic drug. Hell, maybe that'll even keep them away from real drugs

O, well, good luck! I personally find it hard to believe that kids can possibly like what their parents like. Well, maybe rarely. They may still think their parents are cool... for the generic parent standard. My only advise in this sense - if you decide to bring kids there - do it before they are 8 or something like that. Though they'd forget most of the facts and views later on, at least they would enjoy your company. And thanks for your advice. Some day we may bring our kids there.

You never know... Kids are very different, parents too, you definitely have your chance for an "easy-going" (to the most dangerous places) one :) Or more :) I am just looking at my older one - I would never predict what priorities he takes in his life and how fast they change.

I don't know... I always enjoyed traveling with my parents... If anything I'd say that before 8 there is plenty to ignite a child's imagination much closer to home. From my parents' recollections, I became fun to travel with around 10 - that's when it became sufficiently interesting for me to put up with the less attractive aspects of traveling.
