hi Sarah... cowboy monkey stopped having bands. they're closed for renovations, but they're reopening. they want to get more into the restaurant business. i sort of like the place as a social gathering, but i was never crazy about it as a venue, mainly because of the acoustics, so it's probably a good move.

Friday is not a girls night out. It's just us hanging out with various people who wander by while we boogie at our seats and laugh and giggle.

You would be more than welcome to join us. But if you don't feel like stopping by that's fine too. We can get together whenever. =)

I'm surprised Cowboy Monkey is closed. The place was always packed. Where are the shows going to go? High Dive? Will the new restaurant be owned by the same folks or have the same name? Maybe they are trying to make it more like Seven Saints (which I have to admit has very good food and serves nice wine at the bar).

We've been hermits too this winter. It's been too cold/snowy/rainy to enjoy going out much. Hopefully in the spring we'll make a visit to C-U and you are always welcome in Springfield!
