Man, I JUST watched an episode of Law and Order: SVU that had to deal with people having that very same opinion. I was ragin' the entire time, because no, that's bullshit.

I countered the rage by realizing the actor playing the anti-AIDS doctor was the teacher guy from Sabrina.

I'm really sorry about your mother. I felt a little punched in the gut reading this too, just a couple days ago I lost a family member to cancer and was just like wow...the timing. :/

it's an ugly thing; it takes away humanity and dignity, then steals the mind before it finally takes life. I was so relieved when it was finally over, but guilty too. :/

I understand. My mother died of cancer last year - March 7. It was both too fast and too soon - it was less a month from her of diagnosis of lung cancer to when it went to her brain. I was relieved it was that fast, and still feel terrible for feeling that way.

I'll be sure to tell that to a family friend who's dying of pancreatic cancer. And my grandfather who was orphaned a 7 because his dad got lung cancer from the mines.

Ughh rage

you know, really, I have to wonder most of all what the agenda is.

I mean, goodness knows that anti-AIDS lobby is just tearing up all of Washington in its insatiable quest for power...? or would it be the pro-AIDS lobby? seriously, what is the agenda here.

I would guess because it's tied to gay issues (in her mind). The cancer thing? I don't get what the agenda there is. Honestly, that's so over the top.

clearly there is a secret cancer lobby trying to take over the nation.
