There's no way I'm going to be able to resist this.  It turns out that the new 90210 spin-off is actually going to include many of the original actors reprising their roles.  Not only Garth and Spelling, but Doherty.  And they'll get the rest eventually, oh, yes, they will.  And -- embarrassment -- I want to know what happened to those

Shhhh . . . I may have to watch too.

I also loved Melrose, although it drove me too crazy to watch it every week -- I'd go through phases. But I would justify it to my friends as being just like the sf shows I watched: a show with characters that were clearly not human beings.

I'll credit them as human, but not from this planet! :-)

These shows pulled far, far bigger audiences among my peers than any of the genre shows I loved, so it was an unusual frolic in the mainstream for me. And yet I find them embarrassing now in ways I never find Trek or XF or the rest, for all their flaws.
