I am a fan of obscure Olympic sports. Unfortunately, I don't have cable, so that means NBC or watching three-hour chunks of stuff online. And NBC seems to think that we a) only care about US athletes, especially if they can cook up a storyline, and b) want to watch preliminary matches for every kind of volleyball at the games. I like volleyball, but watching every group match for every US team gets old.
I did watch some judo and Greco-Roman wrestling online. I draw the line at syncopated sports, though. It probably makes me a bad lefty, but I don't find it very interesting or compelling.
It is entirely possible that I'm a terrible bourgeois individualist when it comes to sport, infected with the values of my own national culture. However, I'm not sure my fellow travelers would claim China or Russia at this point, unless you counted fellow travelers moving in an opposite direction. Olympic sports where Cuba can beat the US do give me pleasure, though.
