So this weekend turned out to be a lot of fun. Laura came to visit me (it's so exciting that I'm close enough now that I can have a visitor). She didn't get here until 11:30pm on Thursday, so we didn't do much that night, besides sit around and talk ( Read more... )

Sounds like a really good weekend. I'm jealous that you got a visitor. And complaining about your restaurants... I don't want to hear it. Out of the places you listed, we have Bob Evans, but it's too far to walk to. We only have fast food, pizza, and sub shops. It's crazy.

9 is not early. Although I woke up at 10 something today (and I went to bed at like 11:45 apparently... I fell asleep during a movie... oops?) Sleep is good.

9 is too early, especially for the weekend.

It was fun to have a visitor (I realized that she wasn't actually the first visitor I've ever had, because last year at Creighton, Nikki came to visit me for a weekend). And it is a very narrow selection of restaurants to choose from, unless we wanted to drive far. And the only 1 close enough to walk to is Damon's (because it shares the same parking lot as my dorm. lol). But who needs to walk? I have a car, you have a car at school. So it's all good.

My car is a long walk from my dorm. It's closer to walk uptown than it is to walk to my car. So most weekends we just eat uptown. We don't have any big chain restuarants, like Damons, Applebees, or Fridays nearby though. The closest is Applebees in Hamilton (20 minute drive + 20 minute walk to my car... fuck that shit).

Awww, that's so exciting that you got a visitor. I'm glad you guys had fun, that sounds really awesome. I'm super jealous. We have Applebees in Carlisle. That's really about it. We do have a bunch of restaurants like 20-30ish minutes away (cars=beautiful), but that's about it.

We did citysearch, and if we wanted to drive to Pittsburgh, then we'd have a lot more to choose from, but that's like 40 minutes away. And we really didn't care that much. So we ate at Applebees. Anyways, I like Applebees.

Yes, yay for hearts, and playing cards. I need to do that more, I think.
