It's a surprise when games manage to inspire feelings of guilt in you, because so many of them are about simply defeating anything that stands in your way with no hint of remorse. The game that did that to me the most was Shadow of the Colossus, in which I started off confidently, doing what the game told me to do, and then suddenly realized that I didn't want to kill these things and that they weren't even being particularly menacing back to me.

Bioshock is yet another game (couple of games, now) that I've meant to get around to, at some point, one day...

I've heard other people talking about some of the Colossi not only don't fight back, but also cower and run away from you.

It sounds sad.

Somebody was complaining about how quests in WoW required her to kill animals just because they were rare and beautiful.

And here's the dancing couple.
It turns out that I'm not the only person to feel sad for doing it.

I haven't reached the dancing splicers yet, but I've had my ass kicked too many times by the things in that city to lose TOO much sleep over it. Going for the no-revive achievement on the first pass.

BioShock 1 and 2 were both VERY well-written games (at least I assume BS2 is from the point I'm at, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt). There just aren't that many studios that keep delivering this level of quality. For consoles, the only other ones that comes to mind off the top of my head are Bethesda and Capcom.

BioShock Infinite is going to be taking place in 1912, in a sky-borne city named Columbia. Ought to be interesting, considering that Rapture is practically a character in itself.

Im a little different. For me the whole point of video games is to do things i cant/wont do in real life. In a game, Ill kill anything that moves-women, children, old people, innocent, guilty, I dont care. Like In Red dead, I wiped oput a whole town, killed all the animals, and set the whole town on fire. I LOVED that shit.
