Hanging on the wall

Now that I've had my Blackberry for a bit, I've got some more apps on it (currently I can get the weather, but not the fucking weather). I'm also "making" (which is a very dishonest term for what is effectively resizing and cropping other people's creative endeavours) my own backdrops for the phone. Blackberry backdrops are 320x240, so I've got to rejig my backdrops to fit in, but I'm pleased with what I've got so far.

The beach
From Trans Am Champions by the insanely talented Phil Noto.
This is my current wallpaper and I like that a) it's brighter than all of my other ones b) looks slightly classy and c) just has such a carousel feel about it, with a warm, nostalgic, cozy feel to it.

Don Draper

This is the promo for Mad Men Season 3. It's actually Don sitting in a chair in his office as water laps at his knees (because he's an old man in a modern world and he's becoming out of his depth [and if you don't believe me, look at his strategy for London Fog]).

This actually works quite well as the detail is focussed

Idea102

This is the background for my LJ and my middle laptop. It's from Brian Michael Bendis/Kim Cheung's Illuminati

SHIELD

I LOVE the cover for Jonathan Hickman's S.H.I.E.L.D.

While The Beach is nostalgic and cozy, Trans Am is hopeful, expectant and full of possibilities. It's such an optimistic picture. Sadly, it doesn't work that well as a backdrop

Does anybody else make their own backdrops for their phone?
